This is yet another Rival Match between two South American teams. Ecuador and Venezuela will take on each other on the US territory in a friendly match
This will be the first of two friendlies for Ecuador. The second will be against El Salvador in five days. Everything went wrong for Gustavo Quinteros’ side as their ambitions faced a huge challenge after back-to-back losses to Paraguay and Colombia but still in the contest for top five position in South American WC Qualifications.
Venezuela however, sit at the very foot of the standings in the qualifying campaign. They however showed a decent performance three days ago when they played a 1-1 draw with United States in a friendly.
Felipe Caicedo is the star man as he notched seven goals so far in the qualifying campaign. However, he has been far from his best form in Espanyol’s shirt where he rarely got the opportunity to play in the last season of Primera Division.Ecuador lead the head to head tie by four wins, They have also shown a significant difference in quality in most recent times. Venezuela has lost eight out on nine clashes with Ecuador outside their country.
